Colten Rodriguez is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas and serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Forensic Expert with J. Eftekhar & Associates, specializing in accident reconstruction and vehicle safety. He has qualified as an expert in accident reconstruction in both civil and criminal cases throughout the United States. With extensive knowledge of vehicle dynamics and accident reconstruction principles, Mr. Rodriguez has evaluated over 1,500 crashes since joining the firm in 2013, involving commercial vehicles, passenger cars, motorcycles, bicycles, ATVs, and pedestrians. He has testified in depositions and trial presentations.

Mr. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (2019) and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (2022), both from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), with a concentration in Materials & Design. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at UTSA, focusing on Manufacturing & Systems Engineering. His Ph.D. research utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to predict injury causation in accident reconstruction. Mr. Rodriguez also holds numerous certifications in accident reconstruction.

He has conducted multiple low-speed crash tests and component testing, published peer-reviewed papers (including SAE technical papers on LiDAR applications in accident reconstruction), and delivered seminars at the graduate level and for organizations such as the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Rodriguez leads the research and updates of J. Eftekhar & Associates' analytical methods and procedures for accident reconstruction and biomechanics.
